Chinese Consulate General in New York Hosts “Our Shared Expectations: Conservation on China-US Relations”

On September 2, the Chinese Consulate General in New York hosted “Our Shared Expectations: Conservation on China-US Relations” at Harvard Club. Consul General Chen Li attended the event and delivered remarks. A panel discussion was held among four representatives on their perspectives on the topic.

Drawing on the inspiring story of Ronald Sakolsky from Pennsylvania, who has supported desertification control efforts in China, Chen said, acts of goodwill ave always been a precious asset in China-U.S. relations. In May this year, President Xi and President Trump have agreed on a new vision of building a constructive bilateral relationship of strategic stability. It has been proven that improving and developing China-U.S. relations, coexisting peacefully on the basis of mutual respect, and then achieving win-win cooperation serve the fundamental interests of the two peoples and the world.
