Chinese Consul General in Melbourne Fang Xinwen Calls on Hon. Ben Carroll MP, the new Premier of Victoria

On September 1, Consul General Fang Xinwen Called on Hon. Ben Carroll MP, the new Premier of Victoria. Mr Chris Barrett, Secretary of the Department of Premier and Cabinet, and Deputy Consul General Liu Dongyuan were also present.

Consul General Fang warmly congratulated Premier Ben Carroll on his inauguration, reviewed the development of relations between China and Victoria and the achievements of exchanges and cooperation in various fields, and expressed China's willingness to work with the Victorian government to further advance relations between two sides.

Premier Ben Carroll stated that the Victorian government, as always, attaches great importance to Victoria's relations with China and will continue to promote the implementation of Victoria's new China strategy, further strengthening cooperation in trade, education, culture, and other fields.
